You
can arrange your flight directly into the Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International
Airport. You will be met by a driver who will take you to your hotel.
Ixtapa is approximately 21 km from the airport, and Zihuatanejo is 14
km.
You can enjoy your stay in Mexico at one
of our beachfront accommodation options designed to meet your expectations
and budget. You may choose to stay in either the cultural fishing village
of Zihuatanejo, or in the bustling town of Ixtapa. Both areas offer beautiful
views of the Pacific Ocean and easy access to the marinas. There are no
meals included in our packages, so you have your choice as to how you
would like to dine each day. Most of the hotels boast beautiful and delicious
restaurants with nice local selections. We can also arrange meal packages
for you at select hotels.
Your fishing day will begin at the
time specified on your itinerary, usually about 6:30 or 7 a.m. Make sure
to pay attention to the itinerary information as some of the boats are
docked at the Ixtapa Marina, and some at the Zihuatanejo port. Either
way, it is a quick cab ride to get to the water in order to meet
up with
you

.
You may enjoy the exciting action of both
inshore and offshore fishing. We use local charter captains who are very
accommodating and knowledgeable. They know both fly fishing and conventional
tackle and use the bait-and-switch technique for offshore and inshore
species. We offer a wide variety of boat options from pangas to custom
ocean cruisers, all with the capability of getting you to the fish quickly
and efficiently. The flexibility of our program also allows you to customize
your trip in advance by selecting the type of boat(s) you wish to utilize
during your trip.
The
waters of this area are particularly appealing with a history of solid
sportfish stocks combined with little angling pressure. Trophy roosterfish,
snapper, grouper, Spanish mackerel and yellowtail jacks are available
throughout the year inshore. Offshore species boast Pacific sailfish,
blue and black marlin, yellowfin tuna, dorado and wahoo. This is a fishing
trip you will be excited to repeat again and again.
