TRANSPORTATION
TO THE HIGHLANDS: There are several ways to get to A Eilean a Cheo
and the Highlands of Scotland. The least expensive
option would be to fly to London Heathrow and travel by coach or rail.
Both are long journeys, but can give you the opportunity to make several
stops along the way, or just enjoy the scenery. You can look at coach
options at www.nationalexpress.co.uk, or rail options at www.railtrack.co.uk.
Pre-booking both coach and rail tickets in the United States is advantageous.
Both coach and rail stop in Aviemore, which is the closest place to A
Eilean A Cheo.
An option that gets you to A Eilean A Cheo
more directly and quickly is to fly to Inverness. Flights generally go
through London, which would allow for a stopover if desired. British Airways
flies to Inverness through London Heathrow. Information can be found on
their website at www.britishairways.com. There is also a commuter flight
that goes from London Luton airport to Inverness. This airport is about
30 minutes by rail outside of London. It is a good option if you wish
to spend some time in or around London. You can view their information
at www.easyjet.com. Upon flying to Inverness, you may either rent a car
to travel to A Eilean A Cheo, or can travel by rail to Aviemore where
you ca
n hire a car to take you to the B&B. We recommend renting a
car to assist you in your transportation throughout your stay in Scotland.

PASSPORTS: A valid passport is required for U.S. visitors to the
United Kingdom. For citizens of other countries, please contact PR Fly
Fishing, Inc. for additional information.
WEATHER: Owing to its north Atlantic Ocean location, extremes of
temperature are rare in the British Isles. Cloudy, damp weather is common,
and summers can be pleasantly warm, so make sure you are adequately prepared
with good rain gear. The weather during prime fishing months generally
range from 43 degrees F to 65 degrees F. Because of its location in the
north of Scotland, the days during the summer are very long.
TRAVEL INSURANCE: We always recommend travel insurance for your
trip to protect you in case of medical emergencies or trips delays or
changes. We can provide you with the necessary insurance information.
