     Christmas Island is an unusual tropical island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The way of life is relaxed and laid-back, and you will enjoy your trip more if you experience the island as the locals do.


FLIGHTS: The flights from Honolulu are operated by Air Pacifici, which runs a weekly flight from Honolulu to Fiji with a stop on Christmas Island. Occasionally, there are times when the flights can be delayed. We will do everything we can to help you re-arrange your trip, but we cannot be financially responsible for any delays incurred. Please purchase trip insurance for this trip.  Since there is only one flight per week it is very important. ( see below)

PASSPORTS: A valid passport is required for all visitors to Christmas Island. You will be required to present your passport upon check-in at the Honolulu airport.

KIRIBATI VISA: A Kiribati visa is required for all United states citizens. If you are a citizen or national of another country, please us regarding visa requirements. If you require a Kiribati visa, you must obtain one prior to departure from Honolulu. You can obtain one by mail prior to departure, or you can pick up your visa at the ticket counter upon check-in for your flight to Christmas Island.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: There are no immunizations required for entry into the Republic of Kiribati. For the latest information on health and immunization requirements worldwide, you may visit the Center for Disease Control web-site at www.cdc.gov. There is access to very little health care on Christmas Island. Make sure that you bring any required medications and basic first aid supplies. If you have a major health problem, it is wise to reconsider visiting Christmas Island, a remote area with limited medical care facilities.


TRAVEL INSURANCE: We strongly recommend travel insurance for your trip to Christmas Island. As mentioned above, there is limited access to quality care. We have taken great precautions in providing a trip that is safe and rewarding. In the event that something unexpected were to happen, it would be wise to have prepared in advance by purchasing travel insurance. Evacuation insurance is available for minimal coverage, and complete travel insurance is available for providing help with lost baggage, changed flights, etc. We can provide you with the necessary insurance information.
