GETTING THERE

You will be met at the San Andros Airport on Andros Island by a driver who will take you to your hotel. You can get to the San Andros Airport on a number of commercical carriers who generally stop in Nassau enroute to the island.
Your home away from home for your trip will be the Conch Sound Inn. Upon arrival to the hotel, you will be greeted by the warmth and hospitality of the staff who will orient you to the area and the hotel. The head guide, Phillip, will come by that evening to set-up your fishing specifics with you. Anything you might need while you are a guest of the hotel and the island will be quickly attended to by any one of these people. They are all eager to help, and want to make sure you have a great trip.
Your fishing day will begin as you enjoy a warm breakfast, made to order in the restaurant at the hotel. Your guide will pick you up at the hotel at the time you have arranged the previous night. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute drive to where you will board the boats and head out to the flats for the day.
Our guides are all local guides who are very experienced with the area and its fishery. They are friendly and helpful, and eager to see your fishing success. As with many Bahamas spots, they own their own boats so you may see a boat variation based on the personal preference of the guide. All of them have well-maintained, appropriate boats that will get you to a variety of flats quickly and easily.
Your fishing will consist of both wade fishing and boat fishing. The flats are quite vast, with plenty of different areas to experience. The main catch are the bonefish that reside in the area. The average bonefish size is about 5-7 pounds, with ample opportunities for larger fish. These fish do not see many anglers, so they are hungry and aggressive and sure to give you a good fight.
The hotel will provide lunch for you on the boat. They will give you a variety of lunch meats, fruit, etc. You will have plenty to eat and drink, and if you need anything special, the hotel is happy to make special arrangements ahead of time.

You will return back to the hotel at the end of your fishing day. Once you get back to the hotel, you might like to enjoy some appeatizers and a drink in the fully stocked bar, or maybe take a dip in the swimming pool at the hotel Dinner will be served at the hotel restaurant and is a carefully selected and prepared menu of dishes with a local flare.
