     This small and comfortable lodge was built by the Carreras brothers as an extension to their larger lodge, Kau-Tapen, just up river. It was implemented in response to a growing interest in fishing the famous Rio Grande River.

     The Villa Maria Lodge is located on the south bank of the lower Rio Grande. It has four bedrooms and a cozy dining and living area. The lodge is limited to only four anglers per week providing a private lodging experience and close personal attention. The house is available on a limited basis, due to high demand by repeat parties.
