Toon Ken Lodge

    Toon Ken lodge accommodates only 6 rods per week in comfortable double bedrooms with private bathrooms. The staff at the lodge is composed of its managers, (hostess and head guide), a chef with his assistant, two professional fishing guides and housekeeping personnel. All of them will guarantee you an unforgettable vacation, offering all their knowledge and experience not only to meet your expectations but also to exceed them.Toon Ken first opened its doors in December of 1997, and it has remained open since then making this one it's 6th consecutive season. The fishing option that Toon Ken offers is the mid and upper part of Rio Grande, which covers 12 miles of this river, with access to both banks.    It's closeness or proximity to the Andes Cordillera allows us to have an absolutely fabulous landscape view, where the Patagonian desert-like 'barren plains' meet the majestic snowy peaks.

    Only 6 rods per week will fish our 12 miles of the Rio Grande in complete solitude, accessing the best pools of the mid and upper section. It's co mmon to use floating lines and small flies here, during the whole season. Our waters are loaded with fresh Sea Runs and also with big beautiful colored fish ready to spawn. The lodge record is a magnificent 30 pound Sea Run Brown.

    While staying at Toon Ken, you can enjoy a wonderful fishing day at the Herminíta River, where light rods, dries and nymphs are used to catch large quantities of rainbow and resident browns.
