   THE TRIP OVERVIEW

We provide anglers with a full spectrum of fishing for eight different species of trout and salmon in Argentina and Chile, with over twenty-five different waters to choose from. We fish delicate spring creeks, desert streams, secluded lakes, small lagoons, major rivers and even the fjords of Chile. Some of these waters are so productive, a beginning angler is likely to catch over 20 trout a day while other waters provide a serious challenge to highly skilled anglers. Most of these waters are within national parks and have fly fishing only and catch and release regulations.

Argentina: Argentina is famous for its high quality of rainbow, brown and brook trout as well as landlocked salmon. These fish are living in optimal waters conditions and are completely wild. They have no influence from fish hatcheries. These attributes create healthy fish with amazing color and outstanding fighting power. The average size of trout is about 16 inches, however, this will change between individual waters. Make no mistake; a trophy trout exists in every water we fish! Most of the waters we fish are a about the width of a long ca st. As a result, we do most of our fishing by wading, however, we use a raft or motorboat to reach the less accessible fishing areas.

Chile: In Chile, we fish for the same species as we do in Argentina, however, the fall months of March, April and May bring runs of Chinook and Coho salmon. These fish average about 8 pounds and have traveled a short distance from the Pacific before they meet up with your fly. Sea-run browns and rainbows are also found here and grow to enormous size.

Daily Schedule:
We start the day at your leisure. After a hearty breakfast,we head out to fish stopping only for a fresh riverside lunch or perhaps to watch passing wildlife. Upon arrival to the lodge, your favorite cocktail will be waiting for you and dinner will be served at the hour that you request. A regular week with us might include four nights in one lodge and three nights in a different lodge. You may choose to spend part of your week in lodges and the remaining night s sleeping under the stars on one of our expedition trips. No matter how you wish to spend your time here in Patagonia, we can structure your trip to ensure your complete comfort and satisfaction.

THE LODGE TRIPS
Unlike other outfitters, we are not bound to any rivers or private lodges. Instead we offer several distinct lodging experiences in both Argentina and Chile. This not only gives guests the opportunity to fish several different waters but also gives us the flexibility to adapt to changing fishing conditions. Each lodge or hosteria is first-class and has its own personality which depicts a particular flavor of the Patagonia culture. All of our lodges are family owned and operated adding to the personal and intimate service. Foods such as breads, pastas, and vegetables are homemade and homegrown. In addition, Argentina is famous for its fine wines and meats such as lamb, goat and beef, which are cooked in the traditional fashion or to desired tastes. The evening meal is always a relaxing and special time where frie nds reun ite to share the days fishing events and exciting adventures.

These trips are very poplular amoung the die hard anglers and are considered to be the best trip we offer by our returning guests!
