Estancia Fortin Chacabuco
Our most northern lodge, is Fortin Chacabuco,
and is located on 8 private miles of the famous Limay River only 30 minutes
north of Bariloche by car. This lodge captures the flavor of a historical
estancia or ranch in Patagonia. It still operates similarly to the way
large ranches were run years ago by it's sheep herding, and cattle and
horse ranching. The
lodge also offers horseback ridding trips of any amount of time. Their
pack trips are considered to be the best in the area. The lodge is also
popular with hunters seeking red deer during the fall (cast and blast!).
What further completes this country lodge is its reputation of fine home
cooked food. By visiting this special place, one is able to observe first
hand the life and character of the estancias in the region. The Fortin
Chacabuco Lodge is ideally located to fish the Limay, Pi Chi leufu, Traful
and Caleufu Rivers.
Mascardi Lodge
The
Mascardi lodge lies within the Nauhuel Huapi National Park and over looks
the Mascardi Lake. It is only a 45 minute drive south of Bariloche. The
facility is modern with walls of clear glass that make for incredible
panoramic views from within the lobby and dinning room. Each bed room
also has a a view of the lake and the peaks of the Andes Mountains. This
is the largest facility we use holding over 20 people and a full time
staff to make sure assure your comfort. From this lodge we fish four sections
of the Manso River, Fonck Hess and Moscos Lakes.
