Esquel Traveling 4 hours south of Bariloche is
the smaller town of Esquel. Esquel is known for it's ski resort and for
it's many different fishing waters. Just outside the town limits is a
small Hosteria or lodge called La Chacra. La Chacra, meaning The Farm,
is a one story house built in the 70's and can hold 10 anglers. It is
a simple and comfortable place that is mostly remembered by it's 60' and
70's architecture and the fabulous food. A single Welsh woman named Reine
and her daughter own and run the lodge. They have made the lodge a favorite
stop among our quests by their warm hospitality and unique characters
and by excellent dishes with which they surprise us every night. A well
stocked bar greets anglers upon return from a long day on the river.
