Recomended Tackle

Rods: 7 & 8 weight fast action rods, length 8.5 to 9.5 feet works best from the boats.
Reels: High quality reel with a smooth, strong drag. 100 yds of 20 lb. backing.
Lines: Weight forward floating lines for warm water (Saltwater type). We recommend the SA Ultra 3 Bonefish Taper or Teeny Professional Series Flip Pallot Line. Sink-tip or full sinking lines like Teeny T-200 and T-300 can prove useful as well.
Leaders: For floating lines, a 7 to 9 foot knotted or knotless leader with a heavy butt section to turn over big flies and tapered to 12-20 lb. with 8-12 inches of 20 lb. wire shock tippet.
Flies: Medium to large saltwater streamers, ie: Lefty´s Deceiver in 1/0 to 3/0. Black, Purple, Chartreuse, White, Yellow and Red are good color options. Also saltwater poppers and divers work well.
Accessories: Pliers, hook sharpener, clippers, polarized sunglasses, sun block, lip balm, insect repellent, scale, etc.
